| Elizabeth Kostitsyna | |
| Ms. Kostitsyna moved to the USA from the Ukraine in 2000 and became a USA citizen in 2002. She graduated from Pascack Valley High school in Hillsdale, NJ., then pursued her undergraduate degree with Empire State College, graduating with a perfect 4.0 grade point average with a major in Folk Music. But as she states in her application goals, "Living in Montauk, NY, it is hard to resist the convenience of a beautiful, sunny climate and not acquire some kind of garden. After residing in Montauk for over 4 years now, I have grown an enormous garden full of vegetable plants, perennials and ponds. Everything grown in my garden is purely organic and each plant is raised in the greenhouse from the seed. " With this new found love of plants Liza has been accepted into the Master of Science in Landscape Design program at Columbia University and started in the fall of 2007. The HAH is delighted to be to be part of her achieving her goal as she expresses it, "I am planning to pursue (my) gardening and design passion and make it my career." Warmest congratulations to Liza and we look forward to when she will be home and everyone will be able to meet her at a future HAH event. | |
